Changing a Mac icons in Leopard OS X is very straightforward as long as you can create a PNG (portable network graphic) file.

Suggested programs are Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks or any other major graphics package.

1. Create a PNG. Square preferably use following: 32 X 32, 64 X 64, 256 X 256 or 512 X 512 pixels

2. Choose your folder or file and Right Click on it.

3. Choose “Get Info”.

4. Now click on the folder icon and wait till it glows.

5. While the folder icons is ‘lit’ drag and drop your png into it.
